I am a California based travel and documentary photographer.
My camera lens is focussed on the entire world and my passion is to travel to remote areas photographing indigenous people in their own environments and context. I am especially fascinated by how people use and integrate color into their daily lives, clothing, rituals and religious ceremonies.
My photographs from Central America ("Our Neighbors to the South" ) have been recently displayed at the World Affairs Council of San Francisco. My images have also been included in the annual photographic exhibit at Los Angeles Center for Photography and in several philanthropic publications in the US. In addition, I have had several one man photo exhibits in various parts of California.
Prints of each of these photographs are for sale. All proceeds from the sale of these prints are for the benefit of St. Joseph Orphanage in South India (www.sjmissionfund.net), and the Parami Foundation (http://paramifoundation.org) in Burma (Myanmar)--both of these non profit organizations are involved in educating and sheltering poor and orphaned children.
